Swishes for Wishes
In 2023, we introduced a new annual philanthropic event: Swishes for Wishes. Teams of five to six players met in the Woollen Gymnasium on campus to participate in high-energy basketball competitions. All of the money raised went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation's Eastern North Carolina chapter.

Prior to Swishes for Wishes, Chi Omega hosted an annual dodgeball tournament where all sororities and fraternities are invited to compete. All proceeds from this event benefitted the Make-A-Wish chapter of Eastern North Carolina. We hosted 30 teams of 10+ players, and in April 2019, we raised over $15,800!

This is one of our members' favorite events, year after year, and we are already excited for next year's tournament!

This year, Chi Omega created a Sweet Sixteen March Madness basketball bracket to benefit Make-A-Wish. This alone raised several hundred dollars!
Furthermore, with the help of local businesses in Chapel Hill, donated items were raffled off during the tournament and raised even more money to support Make-A-Wish. Thank you to our sponsors!

We started a fundraiser through the Make-A-Wish Foundation website to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses as a part of Chi Omega at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's 2022 Dodgeball Tournament.
